Nanny guide
Your employer uses hōra to track your hours automatically. You have nothing to install — you use WhatsApp, which you already have. Just send your hours by text or voice note, and hōra handles everything else.
This guide explains what to send, how to correct a mistake, and how your personal data is kept private.
hōra understands English and French, text messages and voice notes alike. Here are the four types of messages you can send.
You can also log hours retroactively: "Last Tuesday 9am to 5pm", "March 14th I worked 4:30pm to 8pm"… hōra understands relative dates and specific dates alike.
We know that sending your hours to an app can raise questions. Here's what you need to know.
Only your employer can see your shifts. No third party, agency, or organisation has access to your data.
Every shift and report older than 3 months is automatically deleted from our servers.
hōra is a private tool — like your email or a spreadsheet. No data is sent to HMRC, URSSAF, or any government body.
Your phone number is stored securely and encrypted. It is never sold or shared with third parties.
We only message you to confirm your shifts or send your monthly reports. That's it.
Your data is hosted in Europe (Frankfurt) and we comply fully with the General Data Protection Regulation.
You can request full deletion of your data at any time by writing to hello@gethora.com. We'll delete everything within 72 hours.
